This design features the national flag of Mauritius (officially known as the Republic of Mauritius), which is an island nation in the Indian Ocean. Mauritius is located around 1,200 miles off the southeast coast of the African continent, east of Madagascar. The country includes the main island (also called Mauritius), as well as Rodrigues, Agaléga and St. Brandon. The capital and largest city, Port Louis, is located on the main island of Mauritius, where most of the population is concentrated.
