This design features the Disability Pride flag, which represents the Disability Pride Movement. The first Disability Pride Parade in the United States was held in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1990. Since then, disability pride parades have spread throughout the country. Parades have also occurred in Norway, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Germany and other countries throughout the world. The movement has the following goals: to change the way people think and define "disability"; to break and end internalised shame among people with disabilities; and to promote the idea in society that disability is a natural and fundamental part of human diversity that people living with disabilities can be proud of.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
