Vincent van Gogh At the end of May 1888, van Gogh left Arles for a week to visit the coastal town of Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. He was fascinated by the colours of the Mediterranean and by the 'little green, red, blue boats, so pretty in shape and colour that one thought of flowers'. He painted this canvas on his return to his studio in Arles based on studies he had made earlier on location.

I was a bit disappointed to find that for the price the puzzle was only a small 252 pieces ..... but ....... it is so intricate that if it was bigger I would be frazzled by now
bought as a special Christmas jigsaw for work colleagues to play with in our breaks - it is a great way to get the team to collaborate on something fun, and to start conversations between folk, and a great positive opportunity to provide compliments on the effort put in and progress being made
the puzzle itself is beautifully made - each piece feels lovely (not a cheap cardboard puzzle) and the shapes are all similar but different
Still a work in progress after a week - it's great!!!!
a truly lovely thing ... it will come out each year - both at work and at home. great image, and fantastic finish on the pieces
