First Women Astronauts from Around the World T-Shirt

On June 16, 1963, the Soviet Union stunned the world by launching a 26 year old amateur skydiver into space. She is the first and youngest woman to have flown in space with a solo mission on the Vostok 6. She orbited the Earth 48 times, spent almost three days in space, and remains the only woman to have been on a solo space mission. The United States launched Sally Ride in 1983 and committed to embracing women and minority astronauts since then. Around the world professional women astronauts joined their respective national space programs and launched through the "glass ceiling" making important contributions to our understanding of space. This shirt celebrates those who were first from each country represented. I very much look forward to updating this graphic in the years to come.
