Finn's Law design T-Shirt

This design has been inspired by Finn's Law. Originally painted with acrylics this portrait shows the special partnership between the service dogs and their handlers. Finn's Law refers to the legislation which will make it an offense to harm or abuse an animal in the line of duty. This important amendment to the Animal Welfare Act is named after police dog Finn, who was almost killed protecting his handler PC Dave Wardell from a teenager with a knife. Finn sustained serious stab wounds to the chest and head, but only criminal damage charges could be brought against his attacker. This new legislation, coupled with the government's plans to increase maximum sentences for animal cruelty offences to five years in prison, will make sure those who harm service animals are punished accordingly.
