Bittenok, brother of Fenmere, the Worm, is the maker of coffee. When the Great One gave birth to her 900,000 children and crafted her body into the world that we now know in order to protect them from the chaos of the universe without, each of her children developed a unique gift, an Art. Just as Fenmere, the Worm is Poet and Gnargrim is the Watchman, Bittenok found that if he took a particular bean from a particular bush, roasted it with his own flames, ground it, and then steeped those grounds in boiling water, he could coax nearly anyone into giving him slightly more money than he asked for. He knew then that his Art would move the world in ways that no other could. Bittenok, of course, steams by touch (and being a dragon, he sticks the steam wand in his mouth and blows into the milk like a kid with pop), but he recommends the thermometer to everyone else. "You cannot come close to my precision, unless you use one of these," he says. Who better to adorn a mug than Bittenok?
