The motto "Fear God and Dread Nought" is from the coat of arms of 1st Baron Fisher ("Jacky" Fisher), who conceived the revolutionary battleship HMS Dreadnought. The motto has a double meaning: Firstly the 'traditional' meaning, fear God and one need fear nothing else. The second meaning is fear God AND fear the Dreadnought, his famous battleship, which was the most powerful in the world when completed. The picture is one of the gun turrets from his ship.
