Daughters of the American Revolution DAR History USA Star a lineage-based membership organisation for women who can trace their lineage back to someone involved in the American Revolution promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism. For many years, the DAR and the SAR had been criticised for not being inclusive and for its past policies that excluded individuals based on race and ethnicity.
