The image on this cardis a quilt my mother made in 2002. It was inspired by an illustration of Titania, queen of the fairies, from Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night's Dream.” This is my mother's favourite piece, and a real tour-de-force of fabric work. Philomel, with melody Sing in our sweet lullaby. Lulla, lulla, lullaby, lulla, lulla, lullaby. Never harm Nor spell nor charm Come our lovely lady nigh. So good night, with lullaby.
