People in the early 1900s were into the zodiac and astrology, and this image of an eye surrounded by stars is from the time of mystics and romance. Created for a 1911 poster for an advertisement for a medical exhibition, this image features wonderful Art Nouveau stars, a dark blue background, and a really big eye with sunbeams radiating outward towards the stars, as if the eye were taking the place of the sun. Maybe this mystic eye has something to do with a "third eye" or perhaps that your astrological sign can determine which foods and medicines are appropriate for you.
