European Eel Two-Tone Coffee Mug

It is a member of the Freshwater Eel family. It is native to Atlantic coast from Scandinavia to Morocco; Baltic, Black and Mediterranean Seas; rivers of North Atlantic, Baltic and Mediterranean seas. It inhabits streams to shores of large rivers and lakes. Naturally found only in water bodies connected to the sea. When they mature they leave their freshwater habitat and migrate to the Sargasso Sea, between March and June. After they spawn they die. They can reach a maximum length of 122 cm (about 48 inches) and a maximum published weight of 6.6 kg (14.55 pounds). It is considered a critically endangered species.
