The Royal Seat of San Lorenzo de El Escorial is a historical residence of the King of Spain, in the town of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northwest of the capital, Madrid, in Spain. It is one of the Spanish royal sites and functions as a monastery, royal palace, museum, and school. It is also known shorthand as El Escorial or the Escorial. This image portrais a view of El escorial as seen from Monte Abantos. In this way it was portrayed in the cartoon animation TV series DON QUIXOTE OF LA MANCHA. Don Quixote was first published in 1605 and its continuation in a second part was published in 1615. Our merchandising commemorates both the IVth Centenary, which started in year 2005 and will end in 2015, and the 30th.+ Anniversary of the TV series. This poster portrays one of the 3.000 backgrounds produced for the TV series in the 3-year production process.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
