El Chorro - El Caminito del Rey. King's Pathway (Spanish version El Caminito del Rey) is an organised tourist route between the Chorro and Gaitanheho waterfalls in the El Chorro gorge near the city of Malaga. The path is located at a considerable distance above the earth, its length is 3 kilometres, the width is about 1 metre. Equipped with all means of fencing for the safety of visitors. The "Royal Trail" was established at the beginning of the 20th century (in 1905) as an auxiliary route for workers engaged in the construction of the Conde del Guadalores dam. After the completion of the construction, King Alfonso XIII of Spain to attend the opening ceremony of the dam, walked along this path, watching the construction, and in honour of this the path was called "El Caminito del Rey" – the King's Pathway. In 2006, the government of Andalusia developed a project to repair this road, for its subsequent opening as an official tourist route. The trail was opened on March 29, 2015 and is mentioned in the list of the best new attractions of the guidebook Lonely planet.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
