Drum Tower of Xi'An Coffee Mug

Xi'an Drum Tower is taken in Xi'an, China in the evening. Every Ming-era city in China had a bell tower and a drum tower to help signal the time and mark important events. Located in the centre of the ancient city of Xi'an are two of its most famous examples. The buildings are built in the architectural style of the Ming dynasty and are quite colourful. The Drum Tower got its name from the huge drums located within the building. In contrast to the Bell Tower, where the bell was stricken at dawn, the drums were beaten at sunset to indicate the end of the day.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
