Wonderful vintage servers. Young boys often were used as drink bearers and servers. In Mediaeval times at the castle banquet, there was the butler and his alcoholic drinks store in the buttery, the pantler in charge of the pantry with its supply of bread, the baker, and all kinds of specialists depending on the size of the castle such as a sauce chef, a dessert chef, a wafer maker, a brewer, a slaughterer, a poulterer, and a fruiterer. There were members of staff responsible for specific aspects of the mediaeval dining experience like the tablecloths, the candles, and the silver dining service.

This cheeky quokka napkin made the best of part conversation pieces. It seemed a shame to wipe one's face on it. Layer-upon-layer of meaning was slowly revealed in the quokka's expression and enigmatic body language as the cocktails started taking effect. The product arrived in a handy box so that dust did not gather on the napkins beforehand. This was an excellent, good-resolution representation of a quokka. The image was large and the animal nicely centered. The paper quality was also of an acceptable softness.
