Doris Jay Album: a Parody Notebook

Inspired by the warmth and charm of classic mid-century film and pop music, this design reimagines a vintage album cover with a bright, uplifting twist. Featuring Doris Jay, a cheerful and elegant performer brought to life as a human-like jay, the artwork captures the optimism, grace, and radiant personality associated with iconic 1950s musical performances. Rendered in a mid-century painted-from-photograph style, the design includes soft tonal transitions, subtle film grain, and gentle print aging, complemented by a light, airy colour palette and period-authentic lettering that reflects the look and feel of classic record sleeves. Part of the Squirrel Music Classics collection, celebrating timeless music through imaginative character reinterpretations. Perfect for fans of vintage film musicals, classic pop, and joyful, character-driven artwork.
