This is Delaware lackawanna Inspection Locomotive #98 in service in 1900. It was steam Powered 4-4-8 special purpose Locomotive used
by Railroad Officals for inspection of roadbed and railroad facilies. The Locomotive was kept clean and polished at all times and had
a Special Crew assigned to keep it in top condition.
DL&W or Lackawanna Railroad was a U.S. Class one railroad that connected Buffalo, New York, and Hoboken, New Jersey, a distance of about 400 miles. Incorporated in 1853.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
