DIY / make your own picture frame pin ornament pattern for 2x3 photo on sheet of stationery letterhead This stationery sheet letterhead, 8 1/2" x 11", has my DIY, make your own frame pin ornament, a convertible, tabletop and wall hanging, paper picture frame, that converts to a brooch jewellery lapel pin / name badge / button, that can also convert to a hanging ornament, great for Christmas, the holidays, or any occasion decoration! Use as a photo frame for the new, instant print 2x3 inch photos that are out on the market, printed from Polaroid or Instax Mini cameras, or the Prynt or HP Sprocket brand smartphone portable photo printer devices. The easel strut leg is bendable, and removable / interchangeable, with a metal brooch pin back 1 1/4" (35mm) long, and you can add a ribbon thread through the top or side hole on the back of the frame, and hang it like an ornament or wall hanging. Great for displaying photos, use as party favours for wedding receptions, showers, or events, or as name place card frames for dinner parties or your next Thanksgiving dinner! Use as an alternative to a greeting card, placing a message inside as a 2x3" insert. Display a message, a poem, word art, a sign, use as a gift tag, or embellish gift wrap with this frame. All you need for supplies, for each frame, or sheet is: 3 lengths of ribbon: one length 1/8" wide by 2 feet, thread through the 7 holes on panels 2 & 3 to make the inside photo pocket one length 3/8" up to 1" wide by 9" long, to connect the bottom right corner of the strut leg to the easel back panel, extending from the 2 layers of the strut leg, ribbon tail end folded in twice, with Velcro / hook & loop attached and one length 3/8" wide by 1 foot long, to thread through the holes on the easel back to hang the frame Velcro / hook and loop, sticky back or sew on kind, 6 to 9 inch long, 3/4" wide, cut to size and place in boxes on panels 2, 3, 4, and inside facing strut leg, and on ribbon tail extending from bottom right corner of strut leg hole puncher paper scissors paper trimmer optional pack of hot glue sticks and low temp glue gun pack of acid free, clear sheet protector page, make sure package is labelled "acid free", found at Walmart, Walgreens, & Target for abour $5 for 50 sheet pack, one page protector yields 10 protective photo sleeves, 2x3" each ___________ If you want you can transfer this pattern onto Therm o Web HeatnBond Ultrahold, for ironing as backing and making WASHABLE, no sew, fabric photo frames, or HeatnBond Lite or Featherlite for WASHABLE, sewn, fabric photo frames. For personal use only. fabricatedframescom@gmail.com white background, black guidelines, marks, circle holes to cut out, black lined boxes for Velcro / hook & loop, seam allowance guidelines to fold under How to / tutorial / Instructions; Cut out 6 panel parts Cut away excess at corners, follow guidelines Cut out centres on panels 1 and 2 Fold all inner and outer seam allowances under and glue down, using hot glue, scrapbook glue stick, acid free scrapbook double sided tape Hole punch or cut out circle holes with hole puncher or embroidery like, pointy, small fabric or craft scissors Cut out Velcro / hook & loop and place inside boxes shown Thread skinny ribbon through holes on panels 2 & 3, one way, then back in the direction you came, knotting on both sides as best as possible, glue down knot, cut excess ribbon tails away Insert wide ribbon 9" long between 2 strut leg panels at bottom right corner, at bottom, inside near the vertical, outer edge Assemble panels with hot glue Attach strut leg, with ribbon extending out of bottom to easel back with the Velcro attached Push ribbon tail out in front of frame, use straight pin or safety pin to mark where ribbon meets front of the bottom of the frame Cut ribbon tail excess away about two Velcro tab length sizes in front of frame, about 3/8" wide by 1" or so times 2, then fold ribbon tail in twice, place Velcro hook & loop on side pressed up vertically, that meets easel back panel Velcro / hook & loop, and attach Thread ribbon through top or left side, centred hole to use as ornament Place a 1 1/4" or 35mm long, bar style, metal brooch pin back, insert into 2 holes on easel back panel to hold brooch pin back in place Bend strut leg by folding along either the top or bottom central, horizontal lines on the strut leg panels - you determine the pitch of the frame to stand - decide which line before adding Velcro hook & loop and determining ribbon length at bottom right corner. You can decorate these any which way that you want! Have a frame making party! Embellish with ribbon roses and/or leaves, buttons, gems, beads, you name it! Frame is 3x4" overall, when finished, with 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" picture window, or area where photo shows through, frame front overlaps 1/4" of photo's outer edge, frame front border, or frame surround is 3/4" surrounding the picture window
