It’s probably a myth that the dinosaurs were wiped out by a meteorite, it’s also possible that they flew off into space. The dinosaurs were big, the space ships were small, therefore they couldn’t get inside and had to hold on. The could only do that for a short time before they fell off. Now they’re all floating sixty million floating-dinosaur years away from earth. They’re not expected back any time soon. They built a variety of useless space ships.
