This dramatic photo was taken during a very high wind on Vancouver Island's East coast in the Comox Valley as a huge Bald Eagle attempted a dangerous landing on a windwhipped branch. She made several determined tries before safely alighting. Quite a feat to behold! This poster could just as easily have been designed to promote "Focus" or "Courage". The second in our Eagle Motivational Poster Series. 50% of proceeds benefit the North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre (NIWRA) near Parksville on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
