Desert - Surreal is an oil painting on canvas. Just a little fun painting. This is not a realistic desert painting, more like a dream or just a thought. I was playing with colours and had not really a plan for what to bring on canvas. In the end, I created a desert with some lonely cypress in it. A combination, that not exists in nature. I like this little painting, because of its colours and you can let your phantasy play. Just for fun!

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
