During this time, I heard a quote from author, Caroline Myss, referring to the time before she could write as "the desert". I identified with this term. While searching for ideas for paintings the next day, I ran across a photo of the woman standing in the desert that I had kept for several years. Instinct told me that this couldn't be coincidence and that inspiration was at hand.
