About This Design

Desert Lure (Hosea 2) Poster

A bit of light-heartedness on the painful topic of being in the desert. I think God was humouring me with the giraffe. The piece speaks to me to find humour in difficult situations and hard, dry places while we wait for the promised harvest. “Therefore I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her. There I will give her back her vineyards, and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. There she will sing as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up out of Egypt. “In that day,” declares the LORD, “you will call me ‘my husband’; you will no longer call me ‘my master. ’ ~Hosea 2:14-16 Digital Mixed Media: Photomanipulation & Digital Painting Stock Credits: http://night-fate-stock.deviantart.com/ http://mizzd-stock.deviantart.com/ http://mimm.deviantart.com/

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning! The print is precise, clear and of an excellent standard. It was cleverly packaged so there wasn’t a blemish or crease. Perfect!
