Das Maximilianeum Postcard

Das Maximilianeum Postcard

The Maximilianeum is a historic building located in Munich, Germany, and it serves as the seat of the Bavarian State Parliament (Bayerischer Landtag). Constructed between 1857 and 1874, the Maximilianeum was commissioned by King Maximilian II of Bavaria as a gift to the city and state of Bavaria. The building was designed by architect Friedrich Bürklein and is a stunning example of neoclassical architecture. It is situated along the banks of the Isar River and offers breathtaking views of Munich's old town and the surrounding landscape. Originally envisioned as a foundation to support gifted students and scholars, the Maximilianeum later served as a residence for talented Bavarian students who received scholarships to study at the nearby Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Today, it houses the Bavarian State Parliament and serves as a symbol of Bavarian democracy and the state's commitment to education and cultural heritage. The Maximilianeum's beautiful architecture, historical significance, and role in contemporary governance make it a prominent landmark in the heart of Munich.

Way better quality than I ever expected. I love the colours, font and quality of the card. I'm so pleased I found Zazzle as it is near impossible to purchase Vintage or Retro Australian memorabilia online. I chose this design when I purchased them. They are perfect for my projects. I was very specific about what I wanted. I know where to come now when I need to order similar items.

Perfect for the occasion I was using it for. I was able to delete the lines so I could put in more wording. Had an envelope so the address side wasn't necessary. Print quality and paper quality lovely.
