Dalhousie Castle, Scotland Card

Dalhousie Castle, Clan Ramsay, is situated in a strategic spot overlooking the River Esk. The first castle at Dalhousie was constructed in about 1140 by Simon of Ramsay, the Clan founder. The family continued to retain ownership of the castle until the 1970s when it was leased to a series of tenants. Then, more than 800 years after it was constructed, the castle was sold and is currently operated as a luxury destination.
