Daikokuten 1806
Daikokuten sits on bales of rice while holding his magic money mallet. Before him sits a young boy holding up a toy boat. The mice, bales of rice and the large bag of goodies are all symbols of abundance and prosperity relating to this 'Santa Claus' of Japan. From an original 19th century (1806) woodcut, 'Daikoku to Karako' (God of Good Fortune), by Utamaro II. All Rights Reserved © 2013 padre art

I mailed it straight to the baby's mother. She said she loved it. This was the big card. My niece put it on the mantle for a decoration for the baby's birthday party. I did see a picture of it and it looked like turned out very cute.
