Crumbletown Poster
ABOUT THE PIECE: Original painting poster print. Copyright NAROw 2012 Collection.----------------------------Drawn with a dremil on a crumbling particle board then flavour-injected with dripping black ink and oozing around candy coated castles of broken glass and steel strained structure. Fellaheen and fading, busted and pure, vision through the eyes of a child enamoured by possibility. Buildings can actually scrape against the sky. Art lies bottle caps and smoke butts in the skateboard-river-leaf gutters waiting to be picked and glued to plywood canvas, hung in the garage and awed. ----------------------------MEDIUM: Acrylic and spray paint on etched and crumbling low density fibre-board.. -----------------------------------SIZE MATTERS: Original painting is 40" wide by 23" tall. We LOVE large art on our walls and want you to have the same choice so we have ensured that the resolution will accommodate enlargement up to 60" x 22"-----------------------ABOUT THE ARTISTS: NAROw is a wife and husband working together creating paintings, film, photographs, sculpture, books, and music for personal and public entertainment, education and inspiration. We live and create in the beautiful state of Oregon, USA, are self taught and passionate about using anything on hand, NOW, to create beauty from moments: capturing emotion as images. Working with four hands prevents any one mind from asserting specific intention... these are brave works of impulse, improvisation, collaboration and ultimately love.-----------------------INFLUENCES: Basquiat, Michael Landon, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Henry Kapono Wolfsheim, Thích Nhất Hạnh, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Henry Ford, Martin Clunes, Steely Dan, Danny Elfman, Meryl Streep, Van Gogh, Maria Montessori, Johnny Carson, Wavy Gravy, Fred Rogers, The International Silver String Submarine Band, Klaus Nomi and Alister (fartist / fartographer from outer space). ---------------------------------------------"One man, one woman, one dusty workshop spilling over with rattle-cans, utility knives, aged house-paint and plastic bristle kindergarten brushes. No time for study, no time for doubt just paint and paint and sounds and scrapes, colours boldly applied on back alley plywood finds. These are the works of our HEART. No piece is complete until we LOVE it and when we love it we bring it to YOU. "

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning! The print is precise, clear and of an excellent standard. It was cleverly packaged so there wasn’t a blemish or crease. Perfect!
