A creamy white water lily flower blooming among giant lily pads. Printed on poster paper with inspirational quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson that reads, "Adopt the pace of nature. Her secret is Patience." This giant water lily, native to Paraguay in South America, almost became extinct due to the dredging of the Paraguay River tributary where they grow, as well as tourists collecting the giant pads. They have made a come-back and are once again flourishing. People now face a fine for collecting them. Original photography copyright 2007 by Karen Coffelt.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
