This is from a vintage photograph in my collection . It is men riding in a clam bucket on an early Northwest Crane. Northwest were workhorses in the industry and were manufacturing heavy duty cranes and equipment right in the windy city, Chicago Illinois. This photograph dates to around 1930 when safety was at a minimum in the industry. These men paved the way for modern construction techniques.
