He is immediately pulled from his mother. This unweaned baby is given a bowl of milk supplement and kept in a small pen that he can only stand up or lay down in. Then he is slaughtered in 12 weeks or less for veal. Did you know that we are the only mammal that drinks milk [eat dairy products like yogurt, cheese, ice cream and butter] after we are weaned?
