Cover Contest - ArterioFlow-Tree of Life - Calma Poster
Cecilia Calma, R.T.(R), is the fifth winner in the Radiologic Technology Cover Art Contest. Her submission “ArterioFlow-Tree of Life” was inspired by angiographic and computed radiography images she’s taken in her 22 months as a practicing radiographer. “They reveal the delicate and complex nature of the human body. The vessels illuminated by contrast media (in an angiogram) remind me of the twisting branches of a tree. Both images convey a sense of life flowing within.” The original was created on cotton paper using black permanent marker, a silver metallic marker and charcoal. Cecilia is a radiographer at Sentara Bayside Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
