Cone Nebula (Hubble Telescope) Poster

This is a Hubble Space Telescope photograph of the Cone Nebula (NGC 2264), which is situated in the Monoceros constellation, 2500 light years away. It depicts a tall pillar of dust and gas against a glowing red background. The nebula derives its name from the conical appearance it has in ground-based images. Note that any distortion in the preview image is caused by compression artefacts, and won't be printed.
