August Macke was a German painter who worked in the early 20th century. In the 1910s, he joined the Blue Knight group, which was an avant-garde art movement at that time, together with Kandinsky and Marc. Because Macke died young at the age of 27, his activities were limited to a few years, but his paintings, featuring simplified forms and fantastic colors, created a unique style that distinguished both expressionism and abstract painting.

I was extremely happy to find a tree ornament for my Occupational Therapist daughter. (I bought one a few years ago for my Paramedic son) & prior to seeing this I was trying to work out how I could create something similar for her. Unfortunately my first order was deemed lost in the mail which meant it didn't arrive in time to give my daughter when she finished Uni.
