My store sells microscopic photographic images turned into wearable art. This image is taken from the thyroid. Thyroid hormone is secreted into fluid called colloid and this material is often aspirated during fine-needle biopsies of the thyroid gland. Colloid is especially beautiful when smeared onto a slide and sometimes I can imagine myself exploring an underwater cave when looking at thyroid smears. This makes a great gift for the healthcare hero in your life!
