Col. John S. Mosby Civil War Legend Poster
John Singleton Mosby (December 6, 1833 – May 30, 1916) also known as the "Grey Ghost," was a southern cavalry battalion commander in the American Civil War. His command, the 43rd Battalion, 1st Virginia Cavalry was noted for its lightning quick raids, partisan or ranger-like tactics and his ability to successfully elude his Union Army pursuers and disappear with his men, blending in with local farmers and townspeople. In 1865, several weeks after General Robert E. Lee's surrender, Mosby simply disbanded his rangers, as he refused to surrender formally. Mosbys' Rangers however were the carriers of the surrender orders and documents to Appomattox Court House.

This is great! It's really hard to find good prints of Mosby, so I was thrilled to find this. The print itself turned out nice and clear, surprising since the size was pretty big.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
