'Cloud Shadows' Mountains Landscape Photo Round Clock

Relax in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park any time you check the time on this scenic wall clock. Cloud shadows were captured on the mountains surrounding Kuwohi, the former Clingmans Dome, the highest point in the Smokies, along the Appalachian Trail and in Tennessee. The active sky was a photographer's dream in the summer of 2012 when this was shot. The change of the mountain's name back to the Cherokee "Kuwohi" or "The Mulberry Place" was announced by media outlets Sept. 18, 2024. As you can see, the sun cast shadows of the clouds over the forest of the surrounding mountain range.
