Germany 1881 - 2019 Climate Stripes - Updated March 2020 This Climate Stripes version shows the annual average values from 1881 to 2019 from Germany. The annual mean values are represented by the temperature strips according to an idea of Ed Hawkins. The color range from 6.63°C in 1940 (dark blue) to 10.45°C in 2018 (dark red) The design continues to contain the white stripes between the colored stripes to draw the viewer's attention to the enormous impact of climate change on our habitat. Data source: German Weather Service DWD, Climate Data Center (CDC) and the Energy Charts of Frauenhofer Institute This version of the climate stripe mask shows you the German median air between 1881 and 2019. The are after an idea of Hawkins. The colors are ranged between dark blue (1940, 6,63°C ) and dark red (2018, 10,45°C). This design contains white stripes between the colored stripes for increasing the contrast to sensitize the viewer for the enormous impacts of the global change on our habitat.
