Part of a series of paintings Monet did of grainstacks in the late 1880's. Claude Monet (1840-1826) was one of the founders of French impressionist movement. He is perhaps most noted for his paintings of lilies and water. The term Impressionism is derived from the title of his painting "Impression, Sunrise." The coasters are gorgeous, a quality feel and heavy weight. They look like a precious archeological find. A rustic stone juxtaposed with a modern floral black and white print. I like the way the print goes slightly imperfect on the cut stone edges giving them a kind-of natural beauty. They are a great product and I use them to protect the arms of my couch from hot cups of coffee. Printing is good happy with the quality.
