City - Cincinnati, OH - The Federal Building 1901 Jigsaw Puzzle

Colourized photo from 1901 Original title: Federal Building Photographer: Detroit Publishing Location: 99 E 5th St, Cincinnati, OH This was the United States Custom House and Post Office in Cincinnati, Ohio, built in 1885, it served as the main federal building. The building was placed here because the fountain that was installed earlier, attracted a lot of attention. This building has some historic importance, they had a few famous people visit it. Three Presidents - James Monroe, Andrew Jackson and John Quincy Adams - had visited it. Abraham Lincoln had spoken there. It was torn down in 1936. By the 1930's the city grown larger and this building was too small, having only 27 departments. Ironically the new building is actually smaller than this one. The court house (Potter Stewart), was a little smaller, but the office space was larger. While physically the building was smaller looking, it has more floors, this building only has five stories, the new one has nine stories, the height was about the same. Presumably they had much taller ceilings in this building. You can see a newer style street car which uses power lines overhead.

This puzzle is great, the size is good for children aged older than 7 years old, as the pieces are quite small. Good quality print also. The picture turned out exactly like the photo I submitted. Make sure your photo is crisp and clear. Also consider multiple photos in the one puzzle.

Turned this into a lockdown activity with my partner for our anniversary. I got the 110 pieces since neither of us are big on puzzles. It's was just one of the nice little fun activities we did together. Probably took 30 minutes all up. We're gona frame it and keep it as a memory. The quality of the print was fine. Our teeth look like they stick out a bit just due to the the shape of the pieces around our teeth. But no problems.
