The famed Cincinnati Subway was constructed between 1916 and 1927 before back room politics and a lack of funds shut the project down. Today nearly two miles of abandoned subway tunnels lay beneath the city streets awaiting a future. On the shirt, the red and white "C" logo mimics the symbols found on operating subway lines like those in New York while the text of the shirt reads: "The Cincinnati Subway - Taking you nowhere since 1927."
