Christmas Mukluks Tile

A pair of mukluks superimposed on a starfield background with Inuktitut text reading "Kuvianak Innovia" (Merry Christmas), in the syllabic alphabet adopted by the Inuit of Nunavut, also appears in glowing blue and white. Additional text reading, "The mukluks were hung by the woodstove with care" also appears. A far northern take on the famous poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas." The poem, also known as "Twas the Night Before Christmas," was first published anonymously in 1823 and later attributed to Clement Clarke Moore, who acknowledged authorship. The Inuit are commonly referred to as Eskimo, but that term is now disfavored as it is considered to be pejorative.
