The Christchurch Town Hall organ may be silenced for the time being, but we won't forget the stunning façade it presented in the auditorium. This view shows the façade when lit for a concert, the yellow spots highlighting the red of the lower part of the organ. This is a particularly poignant reminder of a beautiful instrument that has been like so many in Christchurch affected by the disastrous earthquakes that hit our city in 2010-2011.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
