Chivalry (by Frank Dicksee) Bath Mat

This design features a painting by the English Victorian artist Frank Dicksee (1853–1928). It shows a battle between two knights in the Middle Ages. The courageous men are dressed in full armour. One of the knights is standing on the chest of the other knight, holding his sword up, to signify his victory over the other man. In the foreground is a female beauty wearing a green dress. She has long red hair and she appears to have been bound to a tree, perhaps by the defeated knight. The victor in the vattle will soon untie her and protect the damsel in distress, following the mediaeval code of chivalry. There is also a brown horse next to the victorious knight. The original artwork was painted by Frank Dicksee in 1885.
