Our giant panda design features a unique hand-traced footprint of the panda, filled with the panda fur texture and colour, and given a special snowy tint because this animal’s footprints are most often seen in snow in the mountains of China. The panda’s latin name is Ailuropoda melanoleuca, which means ‘cat-foot, black-and-white’, and derives from the Chinese name for the panda, which translates as ‘big bear-cat’.
