Bekkah's World, Life Is Fun, by Jackie Carpenter. Life Is Fun, was an idea taken from the my painting called "A Colourful World" which was an 8" x 10" painting. A Colourful World, became the idea for a Mural at The Children's Hospital in Houston, TX. After the 48" x 56" painting for the mural was finished, I just kept adding things to the original piece. This painting, Bekkah's World, Life Is Fun is the finished design. I wanted it to reflect just how fun life can be. I've dedicated it to my granddaughter Bekkah, who was born with Spina Bifida and has had to spend way too much time in hospitals. I had so much fun painting these pieces. I love bright, bold, colours and really this is how I see life. It is the second mural I have hanging in The Texas Children's Hospital and hopefully it will bring a smile to a little one's face, even if they are scared to be there.
