Cherub in Persian frame Contemplating life CC1010 Classic Round Sticker

A cherub is seated in a window frame in a style reminiscent of the Persian and Islamic ornamental traditions. The angel child is pointing with his or her forefinger at the nose, seemingly deep in contemplation. What is the little angel thinking about? Perhaps he or she is an unborn baby that is wondering about life? Is there really a life outside the womb? I hope I'm going to be with the kind voices that I hear, they really seem to care about me... A sticker for unborn babies and parents-to-be, for pregnancy and childbirth, and the deep contemplation of life. The origin of this illustration can be found in the book 'Goethes werke, illustrirt von ersten deutschen Künstlern' (The works of Goethe, illustrated by leading German artists), published in 1882. It accompanies one of Goethe's poems called 'Buch der Betrachtungen' (The Book of Reflections).
