Chateau d'Amboise Poster
This is a low resolution image for the web, the print you'll get has sharp detail. The Chateau d'Amboise was a Royal Palace from the 11 century, favored by the French Kings. It was built on a promontory overlooking the Loire River. Fra Giocondo, provided at Amboise some of the first Renaissance decorative motifs seen in French architecture. King Francis I, gave lodgings to Leonardo da Vinci and he lived and worked in the nearby Clos Lucé, connected to the chateau by an underground passage. He is supposedly buried in the Chapel. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
