Charles Robinson - Our Sentimental Garden 1914 Poster. Charles Robinson was a prolific British book illustrator active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Hew was the son of an illustrator, and two of his brothers also became illustrators. He illustrated many famous children's Classics of the time, like The Secret Garden and The Big Book of Fables. This image shows a beautiful pensive lady looking out over her garden on her way to afternoon tea. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
