Ceramic Mug with Violet Fine Art: Family Portrait

First I was disappointed that such a beautiful mug had too much white space right-hand of the image, i. e. left from the handle. But then I found a way to change the mug into an irresistible beauty. Now I love it and look at it again and again. (See my comment on the "printing". The printing of the image is awesome! The colors look even better than on the photo! But this time they didn't manage to center it vertically. There was a white area of nearly 20 mm (.87") left from the handle. That disturbed me a lot but I painted a bar of 15 mm (.69") with a waterproof and soap-proof glossy black permanent marker next to the image. The image has very dark purple-grey borders on the top and the bottom. So the black border on the right of the image looks very good and like the original print. Right from the handle there is a white space of 10 mm (.39"). That is good. When mugs have dark images, the white spaces near the handles are generally not good. The design software should be changed a little. Then the manufacturers could find a way to print closer to the handles.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
