Cat's Eye Nebula - Hubble / Chandra Large Coffee Mug

This image of the Cat's Eye nebula is a composite, created from data from the Hubble Space Telescope and the Chandra X-Ray Observatory. It has red and purple tones with a blue eye-like centre. Also known as NGC-6543, the Cat's Eye nebula is a planetary nebula formed from a dying star. The material surrounding the central star is travelling at approximately 4 million miles per hour.
